WORKSHOPSHealth at Every Size (HAES) Series
Three 8-Week Groups to Support Your Path to Body and Self AcceptanceHAES emphasizes health enhancement, size and self-acceptance, the pleasure of eating well, the joy of movement and an end to weight bias.Using a combination of therapeutic approaches, HAES will strengthen your commitment to your health by focusing on quality of life and self-care as opposed to dieting for cosmetic reasons. Be Nourished has designed three programs to help women let go of dieting and food/weight obsession to develop a well-adjusted relationship with food, movement and self. These three groups can be taken individually or as a series. HAES I: Intuitive Eating
Fridays, 10:30am to noon HAES II: Making Peace with Your Body
Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30pm Designed to help you understand the impact of food/weight obsession on emotional and physical health, this group includes practical tools to improve your relationship with your body. HAES III: Moving with PleasureThursdays, 6:30 to 8pm This group is an invitation to explore how you might nourish your body through movement: for fitness, good self-care, and as a path to healing your relationship to your body. |

Nourished Life in Recovery Support GroupThis is a group for women in recovery from a substance (drugs/alcohol) who are experiencing changing bodies and eating patterns. It can be difficult to stay sober when one is not feeling comfortable in one's own body. This group looks at what women in recovery can do to protect their recovery experience, be comfortable in their bodies, and make meaningful decisions to live the nourished life they are sober to live.
